Cheeseburger
Burgers are a favourite with every generation. You’ll find it hard not to love this one with its homemade burger patty topped with onions, salad and cheese, and stacked between a fresh bread bun.

Ingredients
- 600 gm minced chuck steak
- 4 Happy Valley Burger Slices cheese
- Bacon
- 4 burger buns
- 1/2 brown onion
- 1 tbs butter
- Salt
- Pepper
- Lettuce
- Canola oil
Burger Sauce
- 2 tbs mayonnaise
- 1 tbs tomato sauce
- 1 tbs mustard
- 1 tsp worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp chilli sauce
- Salt
- Pepper
Directions
- Divide minced chuck steak into 4 even portions (150 gr each), flatten and place in the fridge for 30 minutes to rest.
- In a bowl, combine burger sauce, ingredients.
- Finely slice brown onion, heat the canola oil and cook over medium heat for 10 minutes, add 1 tbs of butter, add salt and pepper, continue cooking until caramelised.
- Cook the bacon.
- Spread the burger bun with butter, heat in pan until golden brown.
- Cook the burger patties, seasoning with salt and pepper. When you see liquid pooling on the uncooked surface, it's time to flip the patties. Add a Happy Valley Burger Slice to each patty, wait until the cheese is melted before removing from heat.
Serving
- To each bun add burger sauce, lettuce, bacon, burger patty with melted cheese, and caramelised onion.
